"Trick 'r Treat" Sequel Announced

A wonderful night at the Egyptian Theatre, a screening of Trick 'r Treat with Questions and Answers afterwards with some of the cast, director, and producer.

The courtyard of the Egyptian Theater was decorated with jack o'lanterns, ghosts, bales of hay, and lots of lights.  It was beautiful.  There was fog, it was highly atmospheric.  There was candy, there were suckers in the same shape as Sam carried.  Everything, including the tickets were free.

After the film, there was a very short Q & A session, and a cake presented to Michael Dougherty as it was his birthday.  Then Sam came out to give Michael a birthday card.  The card requested a sequel, and the wish was granted.  We can expect a sequel to "Trick 'r Treat".  http://www.legendary.com/news/trick-r-treat-sequel-announced

Each person attending was given a limited edition LARGE Trick 'r Treat poster in a very heavy cardboard tube.  We had taken the subway to get there, so I was grateful for the tube, it kept the poster safe from damage on the subway.   What a great night.  If you were unable to attend, I hope you were able to watch the event live online.

I didn't get a Sam sucker, but I did get some candy.  There was a Reese's peanut butter cup in the bag.  I've never had one before, and tried it.  I didn't know that it was in a cardboard cup and accidentally chewed the cup in my mouth before I realized...   Always check your candy.

Halloweentown Store Window Displays

Halloween display windows from the great Halloweentown store, a year-round Halloween store in Burbank, CA.  LINK

Grave Rock Gulch

Saw a fantastic yard haunt in Glendale last night - Grave Rock Gulch. It's a haunted western town built entirely on the front lawn.  Incredible work, highly detailed.  I was there for half an hour but kept discovering more each time I looked at one of the sets.  Tonight they are adding more animated props.  They said they have been working on this since June.  It's one of the best yard haunts I've ever seen.  www.hollywoodhaunter.com
